REVIEW: RegFood Network Manager Workshop (18-20/02/2015)

Local and regional food gained with the last years a higher relevance for both producer and consumer. The production and promotion of regional food is often realised by local and regional food markets and based on networks of producers. To promote and support the importance of regional "Food Networks" the RegFood project invited 20 food network manager which are active within the South Baltic Region to Copenhagen to a food network manager workshop (18-20/02/2015).

The aim of the workshop was to discuss challenges, opportunities, barriers and success of local and regional food networks and to transfer ideas and possibilities how to run a successful network within the food sector.

The Chair of Business, Economics and Entrepreneurship Education as the German project partner invited 4 network manager to present three food networks of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania: “Ökotawik”, as a network for research, “Regionale Esskultur Rügen” as an active successful business network for regional food and “Experts Nord-Ost” as a project-incubator for food companies and networks.

All involved food network managers took part in and created presentations, discussions and group work activities.
