Main objectives:

  • Analysing of daily work life processes and working contexts of the heterogeneous target group of trainers in the field of further training respectively educational staff in continuing vocational education and training (employed in companies or VET service providers or rather working as freelancer) through methods of the empirical social research (focus “Professional contexts/ Working life”),
  • Analysing of individual education and career paths and biographies of the heterogeneous target group of trainers in the field of further training respectively educational staff in continuing vocational education and training (employed in companies or VET service providers or rather working as freelancer) through methods of the empirical social research (focus “Career and education paths”),
  • Analysing of distinct comprehension and self-reflection of professionalisation of the heterogeneous target group of trainers in the field of further training respectively educational staff in continuing vocational education and training (employed in companies or VET service providers or rather working as freelancer) through methods of the empirical social research (focus “Occupational identity/ Role typologies”),
  • Analysing of individual profiles of competence development of the heterogeneous target group of trainers in the field of further training respectively educational staff in continuing vocational education and training (employed in companies or VET service providers or rather working as freelancer) through methods of the empirical social research (focus “Qualification and professionalisation profiling”),
  • Data-based elaboration and promotion of the importance of an optimised, interlinked, permeable and thus modern qualification and professionalisation of educators/ educational staff in further training  – considering the heterogeneous target group as well as regional and sectoral specifics – in cooperation with universities, companies and VET service providers,
  • Development of a concept to increase the demand and upgrading the consisting IHK continuing training qualifications “Geprüfter Aus- und Weiterbildungspädagoge” and “Geprüfter Berufspädagoge",
  • On this basis, development and piloting of modularised "Train the Trainer" concepts regarding levels of competence development – considering the heterogeneous target group as well as regional and sectoral specifics – in cooperation with universities, companies and VET service providers,
  • Scientific monitoring and evaluation of the professionalisation of (cross)company (continuing)training and education services (pilot testing) for the target group of trainers in the field of further training respectively educational staff in continuing vocational education and training (= optimised matching of teaching-learning processes and their marketing),
  • Data-based concept development regarding the promotion of employability and life-long-learning of trainers in the field of further training respectively educational staff in continuing vocational education and training (= individualised competence development),
  • contribution to increase the flexibility of (continuing) vocational education and training paths by reducing barriers between different levels of education and various education systems.
